Text

I have been in aviation over 25 years. When I started in purchasing, there were few women in aviation and fewer were parts brokers. I had many older men quite frustrated that I thought I could handle the "man's world."

I went on to run a parts department at an FBO/EMS Operation for over 7 years. I managed a larged EMS operation and many bases with little tools, utilizing my ingenuity.

Earning respect and a place in this industry has been long and forever arduous. We are scrutinized more than our counterparts and held up to an imaginary standard. I take pride that I have maintained relationships, respect and traveled through various markets and aspects of aviation including sales, customer service, parts manager, parts broker and inventory control. My journey has been well worth it.

Although, we as women, put up with so much more, I feel this creates an unbreakable bond and the ability to succeed where many fail.
